Hong Kong Lacrosse Development Academy (Female)
2021 - 2022


Rationale and Intent

  • One of the main goals of the Hong Kong Lacrosse Association (HKLA) is to improve the calibre of lacrosse and to enhance the popularity of the sport in Hong Kong. The HKLA is committed to achieving this goal, and the introduction and development of youth lacrosse programme such as the Development Academy is a key strategy to that end. This programme will serve as talent identification for the Hong Kong Lacrosse Under 19 Representative Team and the High Performance Programme (HPP).
     

Target

  • FEMALE (applicant must meet at least one of the following requirements):
  • studying S.1 - S.6 in school year 2021-2022; OR
  • aged between 12 and 25 years old AND have less than 2 years of lacrosse experience

 

Division of Groups

  • Junior (Age 12-14)
  • Youth (Age 15-18)
  • Open (Age 18-25)
  • *Coaches may advice players to change groups as deemed necessary (e.g. skills, physicality, etc.)

Remark: 1. Should have basic lacrosse skill 2. Bring your own lacrosse stick

  • All athletes are expected to participate in all scheduled training, development and evaluation sessions
