Hong Kong, China Lacrosse Men's U21 Representative Team

The Hong Kong, China Men's under-21 team has won the first runner-up in the platinum bracket in the World Lacrosse Men's U21 World Championships in Limerick, Ireland, finishing the competition with a record 14th overall ranking. .

The competition was postponed from 2019 to 2022 due to the pandemic situation. The competition was also changed from U19 to U21 World Championship. The Hong Kong team was placed in Group E this year due to competition constraint, and were competed for 13th to 23rd place in the ranking tournament in the Platinum Bracket. The team has finished the tournament with a record of 6 wins and 1 loss.

As a developing lacrosse program HKLA will again be seeking the WL’s approval of an age dispensation to permit up to 12 U21 players on the roster. Overage players must be resident in and hold a Hong Kong passport. (or Permanent Resident Card). To be eligible relevant DOB are:

  • U19 players must be born after Aug 31, 2000 and therefore under 19 as of August 31, 2019
  • U21 players must be born after Aug 31, 1998 and therefore under 21 as of August 31, 2019
