Program Summary
The Hong Kong Women’s Senior Representative Team will be holding a try-out for the team
for the 2023-2024 season.

Player Requirements:

• Players must be born on or before 7th Sept 2008
• Players must meet at least one of the following requirements:

1. Holder of a permanent HKSAR ID card or HKSAR passport, or;
2. Have one or both parents, adoptive parents or step-parents born in Hong Kong or;
3. Have one or more birth or adoptive grandparents born in Hong Kong or;
4. Minimum of a two-year residency period in Hong Kong within the last five (5) years,

*The criteria to represent Hong Kong, China is subject to change pending World Lacrosse voting results scheduled for the end of 2023*

• Players must be members of HKLA and is prepared to dedicate time and effort to the team.
• Players will be required to participate in AT LEAST 1 “community involvement” activities helping to support and develop lacrosse within our community.

Notes:
1) Players are required to attend all sessions.
2) Players must bring their own reversible pinnies and wear the same one for all try-out dates.

More Information

Program Details:

• Full team on field trainings will be held on Thursday evenings, Saturday mornings, some Sunday mornings or afternoons.
• Small group sessions will be held on Tuesday evenings and Sunday mornings.
• S&C sessions will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings.
• The Asia-Pacific Qualifiers for the 2026 Women’s World Championship is scheduled to be held in Q4 of 2024 or Q1 of 2025. Depending on the final confirmed date from APLU, the season schedule might be adjusted accordingly.
• If the qualifiers are to be held in October, anyone selected to the Qualifier squad will not be eligible for selection for the Women’s Indoor Lacrosse Team.
• Players not selected to this Programme will be recommended to try-out for the High Performance Programme

• Players will be notified of any schedule changes accordingly.
• 22-30 players will be selected as the Representative Team Squad.

Costs

• Try-out Fee $250HKD (Non-refundable)
• Once selected, the program fee will be $2000 plus an elite athlete’s fee of $2000 for the season collected by 2 instalments. (Non-refundable)
• Team tournament and trip fees will be communicated to players prior to the tournaments.
