Men's High Performance Team Programme (HPP)

Tryout Announcement

The Hong Kong Lacrosse High Performance Programme Squad is directed towards athletes with aspirations of representing Hong Kong at the international level. The ongoing program is designed for participants to receive top level instruction and support, equipping them tactically, technically, physically and mentally for the next step in their development and achievements.

Player Requirements:

● Players must be HKLA members.
● Players must be a minimum of 16 years old.
● Players should have a basic level of playing experience.
● Players must have the capacity to dedicate and commit to 2-3 squad training sessions per week.
● Players will be required to participate in at least TWO “community involvement” activities to support the lacrosse development within our community.
● All players must have fully completed their COVID-19 vaccination as per government vaccine pass requirements to try-out.

12/13 November 2022 (Saturday/Sunday) 09:00-19:00

HKU Sandy Bay: Sha Wan Dr, Pok Fu Lam

16 November 2022 (Wednesday) 20:00-21:30 Practice
Kellett School: 7 Lam Hing St, Kowloon Bay

20 November 2022 (Sunday) 09:30-11:15 Practice
Sun Yat Sen Football Pitch: Western Fire Services St, Sheung Wan

Notes:

1) Players are required to attend all sessions.
2) Players must bring their own reversible pinnies and wear the same one for all try-out
dates.

Program Details:

● On field training will be held on Wednesday evenings and Sundays.
● S&C sessions will be held on Tuesday evenings and Saturdays.
● If you are unavailable to attend the try-outs with a valid reason, please contact Coach Jordan Wong by [email protected]
● Players will be notified of any schedule changes accordingly.
● 30-35 players will be selected for the Men’s High Performance Programme.

Costs

● Try-out Fee HKD $250 (Non-refundable)
● Once selected, the programme fee will be $2000 plus an elite athlete’s fee of $2000 for the season collected by 2 instalments. (Non-refundable)
● Team tournament and trip fees will be communicated to players prior to the selection of the travelling squad.
