The duration of the course will be 3 hours. The course will include the history of the sport of lacrosse and the development of lacrosse in Hong Kong. Participants will learn about the different types of lacrosse, rules of the game, basic skills of lacrosse and the key points in teaching the basic skills. Participants will also get to experience the fun of lacrosse and learn about the rules of mini-lacrosse.

At the end of the course, each participant will be awarded a HKLA instructor course e-certificate. Each participant will also receive a youth resource pack, and alongside with basic skills and basic drills videos, it will assist the participant to conduct any trial sessions in schools.

After becoming an instructor, the participant can assist in conducting school trial sessions or any youth programmes. Upon completion of 4 hours as an assistant, they can apply to become a Senior Instructor and become a lead instructor in school trials and youth programmes.

With support of the World Lacrosse Grant in this course, HKLA will provide a free school trial session for the participant's school. Rental fee and transportation fee of the session will be covered by the World Lacrosse Grant. HKLA can provide a coach to assist in the trial session, with the aim to guide the instructor to be able to hold a school trial session on their own in the future.
